본 설계공모는 기상청 본청 대전 이전으로 현업부서 및 지원부서 의 업무공간을 위한 신축을 목적으로 함을 동시에, 기후위기시대 최전선에서 기상ㆍ기후변화를 감시하는 기상청의 상징성과 미래 가치를 고려하여, 세계적 수준의 진정한 「탄소중립 국가기상센터」를 신축하는 것을 목표로 한다.
위와 같은 배경으로 설계자의 예술성ㆍ상징성ㆍ우수한 친환경적 기술력을 다양하게 적용한 최적의 설계안을 도출하여 탄소중립 국가정책의 선도 및 지역균형발전의 모범사례를 제시하고자 한다.
This design competition aims to build a new work space for field departments and support departments due to the relocation of the headquarters of the Korea Meteorological Administration to Daejeon Metropolitan City, and at the same time, it aims to build a world-class "Net Zero National Meteorological Center" considering the symbolism and future value of the Korea Meteorological Administration that monitors weather and climate change at the forefront of the climate crisis.
Against the above background, we aim to derive an optimal design scheme that applies the architect's artistry, symbolism, and excellent eco-friendly technology in a variety of ways to lead the Net Zero national policy and present an exemplary case for balanced regional development.
